This 1930s building had long been due for renovation, but original plans were hampered by the financial crash of 2008. In 2016, we were brought on board by property developers Smith Street Estates to reboot the project. For this air-rights development we worked with a team of highly skilled solicitors and engineers to conduct an extensive structural analysis before beginning construction.
Once completed, Sandhurst Court will have two new top floors with one three bedroom corner flat and eight two bedroom flats. In addition to the new flats, the foyer and exterior will be refurbished and the outside area landscaped. All new flats have been designed to maximise the impressive views over Brixton and the city, with vertical glass windows playfully contrasting with the horizontal grain of the original building.
